For the establishment of the Lectoraat Kunst en de Publieke Ruimte (Lectorate for Art and Public Space), architects BikvanderPol and Korteknie Stuhlmacher designed a layout for a mobile office: the Mobile Home.

Mobile Home for the Zuid-as
The Mobile Home needed to function as a groundwork for the execution of the lectorate’s annual program. This included the organizing of events (workshops, exhibitions, symposia and general activities), the carrying out of assignments and external fundraising. The Mobile Home was to be constructed on the Zuid-as. The architects, BikvanderPol and Korteknie Stuhlmacher, were approached to design the Mobile Home. They presented the sketch plan, 'Ka', a design that - with its open appearance - raises the question of interior vs. exterior space. In addition, the Mobile Home is easy to move with a trailer, so that the Lectorate would have been able to go along with any (construction) developments on the Zuid-as.
Ultimately the design was not executed.
