On May 20, 2011 the exhibition Fluiten in het Donker opens at de Appel Boys' School. The exhibition is the final project of de Appel Curatorial Programme 2010-2011 and is supported by SKOR | Foundation for Art and Public Domain in the framework of the institutional alliance between SKOR and de Appel. DNA Spray Demonstration

'You Steal, You're Marked! is the slogan of the private company SDNA, which introduced a unique security device, SelectaDNA, in close collaboration with the police force and with support of the city councils in the Netherlands. De Appel CP 2010-2011 invites SDNA to give a demonstration on May 13, 2011 at 8:30 PM at Trouw/De Verdieping, as a prologue to their exhibition Fluiten in het Donker and as a part of Art in Amsterdam.

SKOR at the Amsterdam Art/Book Fair

On May 14 and 15, 2011 the Amsterdam Art/Book Fair takes place at Vlaams Cultuurhuis De Brakke Grond in Amsterdam. SKOR is one of the (international) participants and presents various publications. Opening hours Saturday: 1 - 7 PM and Sunday 11 AM - 6 PM.

Amalia Pica in De Inkijk

SKOR is proud to present an installation by Amalia Pica (Argentina, 1978) in De Inkijk as of May 13, 2011. The installation consists of two artworks: Microphones (2010) and Red Carpet (2010). The microphones are made out of found materials such as tape and plastic bottles. Situated in the 'shop front' of De Inkijk, the installation encourages viewers to rethink the symbolic language of politics, communication and publicness.

Photographers: sign up for event Focus op Landschap

The last event of the project Focus on the Landscape is on Friday May 20, 2011. This re-photography project is inspired by a collection of over 600 landscape photographs that were taken by the landscape architect Hubert de Boer 35 years ago, focusing on changes in the landscape over the past few decades. An app was developed specifically for this project (find this on "7scenes"). This time, the event takes place in the Wieringerwerf area. The aim is to discover where the photographs were taken, to photograph these locations again and to compare. Register at
